Description

The thumb-sized DFRobot heart rate sensor is made specifically for the Arduino microcontroller.

Based on PPG methods, this heart rate monitor sensor is a pulse sensor. This is an easy-to-use, inexpensive optical method for detecting variations in blood volume inside the microvascular bed of tissues. This theory suggests that the pulsatile component of the cardiac cycle is reasonably straightforward to detect. There are two holes on the sensor where you may fasten it to your belt. It can be wrapped around your finger, wrist, earlobe, or any other skin-contact location.

To lower the barrier to utilisation, a plug-and-play gravity interface is modified. The best way to connect this heart rate sensor to your Arduino or other microcontrollers is to use the io sensor shield. Additionally, by using a 3.3V input voltage, this sensor may be used with the Raspberry Pie, Intel Edison, Joule, and Curie.

Features:

  • PPG techniques form its foundation.
  • Finding the cardiac cycle’s pulsatile component is rather simple.
  • Additionally compatible with the Raspberry Pi, Intel Edison, and Joule
