Description

A simple, affordable digital temperature and humidity sensor is the DHT22 Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor Module AM2302. It measures the ambient air using a thermistor and a capacitive humidity sensor before emitting a digital signal on the data pin (no analogue input pins are required).

Although it’s quite easy to use, time is crucial in order to capture data. The sensor’s only significant drawback is that it only provides fresh data every two seconds, therefore when utilising our library, sensor values may be as much as two seconds outdated.

The leftmost pin should be connected to 3-5V power, the second pin should be connected to your data input pin, and the rightmost pin should be connected to ground. It is not compatible with Dallas One cable, even though it sends data on a single cable! A data pin must be assigned to every sensor if you want more than one!
