LNK6667 High-Power Off-Line Switcher IC

A high-voltage power MOSFET and controller are integrated monolithically into a single package via a LinkSwitch-HP device. With its newly designed analogue control system, it can provide primary-side regulated (PSR) power supply up to 90 W in continuous conduction mode (CCM) without being affected by audible noise or DCM’s efficiency restriction. It operates in multiple modes using an improved peak current mode PWM control system.

The operating peak current and switching frequency are set by the multi-mode control engine using the error amplifier output signal voltage at the COMPENSATION pin in order to maintain the output.

The device enters multi-cycle modulation (MCM) with a fixed peak current of 25% of the programmed current limit for COMPENSATION pin voltages less than VC(MCM) (typ. 1.25 V). At high-line (LNK67xx families), the device requires less than 30 mW of input power when there is no load.
