Description

One of the features of the MPU9250 9-Axis Attitude Gyro Accelerometer Magnetometer Sensor Module is the MPU-9250 multi-chip module (MCM), which is made up of two dies that are combined into one QFN package. The gyroscope and 3-Axis accelerometer are housed in one die. The 3-Axis magnetometer AK8963 is housed in the other die. Thus, the MPU-9250 is a nine-axis motion tracking gadget that includes a digital motion processor (DMP), a gyroscope, a magnetometer, and a three-axis accelerometer. The I2C address, which is 0x68 by default and 0x69 if AD0 is pulled high, is the basis for it.

There is an integrated temperature sensor in the MPU-9250 as well. This module can be powered by 5V sources, like an Arduino, thanks to its internal 3.3V voltage regulator, pull-up resistors on the SDA, SCL, and nCS lines, and pull-down resistors on the FSYNC and AD0 lines. You can bypass the voltage regulator and power the module directly from 3.3V by bridging the solder jumper that is adjacent to it.
