Description

OE-37 Hall Effect Two Channel Magnetic Encoder is this one.

A rotary encoder is an essential part of any project where the machine will need to be able to manage both the direction and speed of the conveyer belt movement. Thus, this encoder is available for a fair price here.

To detect the rotation of a magnetic disc on the back protrusion of the motor shaft, a two-channel Hall effect encoder is employed. When counting both edges of both channels, the quadrature encoder has a resolution of seven counts per rotation of the motor shaft. As seen, the encoder has six pins for output.

The Hall Effect (OE-37) The Hall sensor of a two-channel magnetic encoder draws a maximum of 10 mA and needs an input voltage, Vcc, that is between 4.5 and 24 V. From 0 V to Vcc, the outputs from A and B are square waves that are around 90° out of phase. The motor’s speed may be determined by the frequency of transitions, while its direction can be inferred from their order.

Seven counts per revolution of the motor shaft by both Channels can be obtained by counting the rising and falling edges of the A and B outputs.

The encoder is supplied with all necessary mounting equipment, including a plastic case, washer, magnet, connecting cable, and screw set.
