Description

A Li-ion battery pack’s intelligent component, the Battery Management System (BMS), is in charge of protection and monitoring. Since lithium-ion batteries can only be used under certain circumstances, a battery management system is necessary to keep an eye on the condition of the batteries and guarantee their safe operation.

An electronic module known as a battery management system (BMS) regulates a rechargeable battery, which can be a cell or battery pack. It does this by keeping an eye on the battery’s condition, preventing it from operating outside of its safe operating range, generating secondary data, reporting it, managing its surroundings, and authenticating it.

A highly integrated Li-ion switched-mode battery-charge controller is the SmartElex 3s BMS device. With high-accuracy charge current and voltage regulation, termination, adapter current regulation, and charge status monitoring, the device provides a constant-frequency synchronous switching PWM controller.

The gadget is powered by a wall adaptor that requires 19V DC 5A (minimum) and connects by an inbuilt DC Jack or two pin connectors. Up to 7A can be supported by our SmartElex 3s Li-ion board. Multiple protections, including overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent during discharge (OCD), are features of the SmartElex 3s Li-ion BMS. The Status LEDs on the SmartElex 3s Li-ion BMS show the battery status, allowing us to determine whether the cell is overvoltage or undervoltage.
