“Time of Flight” is what ToF stands for. With a ToF camera, you can measure the depth and distance of any given object or scene by using modulated lights (CW method) and measuring the time it takes for the lights to reflect back. This allows you to collect depth data (X, Y, and Z coordinate position) for each pixel in the image. The formula for calculating the speed of light is d=C/2f, where f is the modulation frequency and C is the speed of light.
