SeeedStudio Grove 16×2 LCD (White on Blue)

Do you want to use an LCD to show typefaces, numbers, and symbols? Thus, we are introducing to you the Grove – 16×2 LCD v2.0. This is a white-on-blue display with two rows, sixteen characters, and a powerful backlight. In addition to having pins for data interchange and lighting control that drop from approximately 10 to 2, it allows I2C communication with your micro-controller, freeing up IOs for more difficult duties. It also displays English and Japanese typefaces, which is highly useful for the user. Grove 16 x 2 LCD (White on Blue) is prepared for usage when used as a digital input with micro-controllers. Additionally, this gadget features a plug-and-play grove compatible interface with a compact modular design.The Seeeduino V4.2 is layered with the Grove shield for Arduino in the image below. The shield is also compatible with Arduino.

This LCD can be used for projects that call for a straightforward display, as well as for temperature and time displays. The following platforms are supported: Wio, LinkIt ONE, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and BeagleBone. Seeed Studio offers advice guides in PDF format for all Grove users, but especially for newcomers. Pull-Up Resistor I2C
Neither an integrated pull-up resistor nor a pad for soldering the optional pull-up resistor are included in the Grove – 16 x 2 LCD series’ first edition. The module was rebuilt by Seeed Studio, and the updated version has pull-up resistors. If you happen to have an older version, you can solder a 10kΩ DIP resistor on the Grove connector’s back pad by yourself. Kindly refer to the image below for version 1.0. Connect a 10kΩ DIP resistor to the pins of the SCL and VCC. In addition, solder a second 10kΩ DIP resistor in between the SDA and VCC pins.
