Description

A hardwired TCP/IP embedded Ethernet controller, the W5500 chip makes it simpler for embedded systems to connect to the Internet. With the W5500, customers may include Internet connectivity into their applications with just one chip that has embedded 10/100 Ethernet MAC, PHY, and TCP/IP stack functionality. The tried-and-true technology that supports TCP, UDP, IPv4, ICMP, ARP, IGMP, and PPPoE protocols is called WIZnet’s Hardwired TCP/IP. The 32Kbyte internal memory buffer for processing Ethernet packets is embedded in the W5500. With W5500, all it takes to develop an Ethernet application is the addition of a basic socket programme. Instead of using any other Embedded Ethernet solution, this method is simpler and faster. Eight separate hardware sockets can be used at once by users. W5500 offers both power down mode and WOL (Wake on LAN) to lower the system’s power usage.
