Description

The ADXL345 Tripple Axis Accelerometer Board is a compact, thin, low-power, three-axis accelerometer that can measure up to ±16 grammes with a high resolution (13-bit). Digital output data is available via an I2C digital interface or an SPI (3- or 4-wire) digital interface, and it is formatted as 16-bit two’s complement.

Applications for mobile devices are well suited for the ADXL345 Tripple Axis Accelerometer Board. In tilt-sensing applications, it measures the static acceleration of gravity in addition to the dynamic acceleration brought on by motion or shock. Its measurement of inclination changes less than 1.0° is made possible by its high resolution (4 mg/LSB).

There are numerous unique sensing features available. Motion and inactivity are detected using activity and inactivity sensors, which also determines whether acceleration on any axis surpasses a user-specified threshold. Single and double taps are detected by tap sensing. A device’s ability to sense freefall allows it to detect falls. Two interrupt output pins can be assigned to these functions. Data can be stored in an integrated, patent-pending 32-level first-in, first-out (FIFO) buffer to reduce host processor interaction.

At incredibly low power dissipation, low power modes enable intelligent motion-based power management with active acceleration monitoring and threshold sensing.

Applications:

  • Instruments for pointing.
  • Handheld devices.
  • Instrumentation used in medicine.
  • Playing games.
  • industrial equipment.
  • Devices for personal navigation.
  • protection of hard disc drives (HDDs).
  • Exercise apparatus.
  • Aerospace and defence.

Note: This package does not include the Arduino board, you have to buy it separately.

Features:

  • Ultra-Low Power: 0.1µA in standby at 2.5V, 40µA in measuring mode.
  • Fall-Free Detection.
  • Double or Tap Tap Detection.
  • Both interrupt pins can be mapped to flexible interrupt modes. Selectable measurement ranges by serial command configurable bandwidth with serial command
  • broad range of temperatures (-40°C to +85°C).
  • 10,000 g shock resistance.
  • With its onboard RT9161 power chip, which supports 5V and 3.3V voltage input and has a lower pressure drop than 1117 due to its faster load response, this power supply is ideal for high-noise environments.
  • Resolution that the user can choose
  • 10-bit resolution that is fixed.
  • Complete resolution, which maintains a 4 mg/LSB scale factor throughout the G range, up to 13-bit resolution at ±16 g.
