Description

A wire coil wound around a core, the CD54 470μH Surface Mount Power Inductor (470 microH) is a passive device with two terminals. To create a high inductance in the wire, a core can be either air or magnetic metal. The terminals are surface-mounting pad assemblies.

A magnetic field is created surrounding the inductor when we apply current through it.
When a magnetic core is used, a far higher magnetic field than with other methods is produced.

Applications:

Use as DC-DC Converter inductors in mobile phones, PDAs, MP3, DSC/DVC, portable DVD players, and other devices.
