ISD1820 Recording Module Voice Board With On Board Mic and Loud Speaker

This is the ISD1820 Voice Board Recording Module with Built-in Microphone and Loud Speaker. The simplest method for incorporating voice recording (and playback) into your project is to use the ISD1820 Recording Module Voice Board. The three push buttons on the module can be used to operate it directly, as can any microcontroller (such as an Arduino).

You may attach any 8-ohm speaker to the board, which already has a microphone installed. Your recordings are kept safe even in the event of a power outage thanks to the ISD1820’s non-volatile storage.

This module records a single voice message up to 10 seconds long using the ISD1820 voice record and playback IC. Its unique analogue flash memory stores the recorded message, ensuring that it is preserved even in the event of a power outage.

The module has an electret microphone for recording your message, and push buttons for recording, playing back part of the message, or playing it again in full. One digital pin can be used to control playback and header pins provide simple microcontroller interfacing.

An 8 Ohm, 0.5W speaker and cable are included in the package, and they may be connected straight to the speaker output of the module.

Buttons govern the operation of the audio recording mechanism.

REC Button: record button, you can press and hold the recording, release the button to stop recording;
RLAYE Key: trigger mode playback, press will play this whole speech;
PLAYL Key: jog mode playback, press and hold until playback, release to stop playback;
RPL Jumper: loop mode control, loop playback;
FT Jumper: direct control, microphone voice through the speaker can playback.
