This is a tiny microphone pickup for collecting aerial audio signals for FPV QAV250 mini quadcopter cameras, operating at 6-12VDC. The microphone just weighs one gram and is simple to install. It is wired to your FPV transmitter just like your FPV camera is. Keep in mind that you need an audio input on your FPV transmitter. As an alternative, a specialised microphone like this one can be used with most FPV transmitters, but the audio quality isn’t  high.

Although many may consider a microphone to be an unnecessary extra, having a live audio feed in addition to the video from your FPV drone has advantages. Since sound is one of our greatest senses, it produces an unexpectedly high level of feedback.

You will gain an intuitive sense of your throttle position by being able to hear what your FPV Motors are doing in real time. This could help you become even more consistent and accelerate on race courses.

It may also assist you in entering a state of awareness so that you are not distracted by nearby drone noises.
