Description

Based on Leadshine’s unique technology, the Leadshine DM542 Digital Stepper Motor Driver is a cost-effective micro-stepping driver. Both 2-phase and 4-phase hybrid stepping motors can be driven by it.

Compared to conventional drivers like L/R drivers, it can output higher speed and torque from the same motor by utilising the sophisticated bipolar constant-current chopping technology. Less motor heating is achieved thanks to its 3-state current control technology, which enables coil currents to be well-controlled and with relatively little current ripple.

With the use of cutting-edge DSP control algorithms and the most recent advancements in motion control technology, the DM542 is a fully digital stepper driver. A novel degree of system smoothness has been attained, offering maximum torque and eliminating mid-range instability. Its characteristic of motor auto-identification and parameter auto-configuration allows for a fast setup to the best modes for various motor types.

In contrast to conventional analogue drives, DM542 has the ability to operate a stepper motor with far less noise, heat, and irregular movement. For applications with demanding requirements, the DM542T is a great option because of its special characteristics. It is strongly advised that this be used as a NEMA 17 and NEMA 23 driver.
