Description
With its onboard compass, low power consumption, and high precision, the new generation NEO-M8N High Precision GPS Module for PIXHAWK and APM FC is ready to connect to PIXHAWK FC. Its accuracy is 0.6 metres, or nearly 0.9 metres, which is greater than that of the previous generation NEO-7N, which had an accuracy of 1.4–1.6 metres. It also supports GPS/QZSS L1 C/A, GLONASS L10F, BeiDou B1 protocol, and more.
Additionally, by simply swapping out the additional 5-pin connector included in the package, you may connect the same module to the APM Flight Controller.
Thus, if you’re interested in GPS telemetry for your camera ship or FPV flying? The solution lies in this latest GPS model, the NEO-M8N. With an accuracy range of 0.6 to 0.9 metres, it represents a notable advancement over earlier models. Finding and acquiring up to six satellites often takes ten seconds or less, demonstrating how quickly satellite searching and acquisition operate. Additionally, this GPS module boasts an integrated compass with a low noise figure and a 10Ghz refresh rate, guaranteeing exceptional performance.
Out of all the NEO-M8 configurations, the NEO-M8N offers the best performance and the simplest RF integration. Migration from earlier NEO generations is made simple by the NEO form factor. Exhibiting optimal performance even in circumstances unfriendly to GNSS is ensured by sophisticated RF-architecture and interference suppression. NEO-M8 offers numerous connectivity choices along with a high degree of robustness and integration capability. The future-ready NEO-M8N has an inbuilt Flash that enables straightforward firmware updates to accommodate more GNSS systems.
In order to safeguard the GPS from electromagnetic interference, the NEO-M8N GPS Module for APM APM2.52 APM Flight Controller with Case and GPS Antenna Mount is included. The NEO-M8N GPS Module is a newer model that boasts low power consumption and good precision. Its accuracy is 0.6 metres, or about 0.9 metres, higher than that of the NEO-7N GPS Module, which was only 1.4-1.6 metres in the past. Support at least the following: GLONASS L10F, GPS/QZSS L1 C/A, BeiDou B1 protocol, and mode. This is a very precise receiver with rapid locks and many satellites thanks to the NEO-M8N and ceramic antenna. The stand is also quite solid, protecting the GPS from electromagnetic interference.
Note: You need to remove the jumper when using 2.8 boards with our GPS module. If you need to calibrate, make sure the orientation of the control and GPS compass are the same and keep them fixed. If you move, the quadcopter won’t work; you’ll need to fix it and then calibrate.
Connector difference of PIXHAWK and APM FC:
