Description

A DC to DC converter having an output voltage higher than the source voltage is called a boost converter. Because a boost converter “steps up” the source voltage, it is sometimes referred to as a step-up converter. The output current is less than the source current since power() needs to be preserved.

This high voltage step-up power supply module is frequently utilised in demonstrations and experiments involving electronics. A typical Li-ion battery with an input voltage of 3-6V can be used by the module to generate a voltage of up to 400KV. The Tesla coil is the basis for the high-voltage module.
