Description

The Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 (available in both Standard and Wide versions) is designed for Raspberry Pi computers and comes equipped with autofocus and a 12-megapixel sensor. Supported by the Picamera2 Python library, this module offers excellent image quality with precise control.

Built around a 12-megapixel Sony IMX708 image sensor, the Camera Module 3 introduces major improvements over its predecessor. It’s available in two lens options: a standard 76° field of view or a wide-angle 120° version. Additionally, both lens types are offered in regular and infrared-sensitive (NoIR) variants.

The standard variant is ideal for capturing images in normal lighting conditions. The NoIR variant lacks an infrared filter, making it perfect for use with an infrared light source to capture clear images in low-light or dark environments.
