Description

Through the usage of a Virtual Com Port on the user’s PC, the USB to RS485 Converter Adapter module offers an easy-to-use RS485 interface that supports Windows 7, XP, Vista, Linux, and Mac OS.

Nothing submitted to the Virtual Comm Port is automatically converted to RS485 and vice versa; there are no command structures. The USB bus provides all of the module’s power.

It has never been simpler to communicate or control RS-485 devices from your PC! Plugging in this device is simple. Applications or the hyper-terminal can access it like a serial/com port.

This converter allows for RS-485 half-duplex communication. There is a maximum of 6 Mbps in the 75 bps to 115200 bps Baud rate range. No external power source is required for operation.
