Description

This is the USB to TTL RS232 Module USB to Serial PL2303 TA Download Cable.

The cable makes connecting to your WiFi router’s serial console port, Raspberry Pi, or microcontroller the simplest method you’ve ever used. A USB to Serial conversion chip is located inside the large USB plug, and the four wires at the end of the 1M cable are red power, black ground, white RX into the USB port, and green TX out of the USB port.

The RX/TX pins are 3.3V levels for 3.3V logic level chipset interface, while the power pin supplies 5V @ 500mA straight from the USB port.

This cable is perfect for charging the Raspberry Pi or Beagle Bone Black and connecting to the debug/login console because of the divided pin connectors.

Also useful for virtually any other 3.3V logic serial port hacking, such as installing different operating systems on WiFi routers. Because the wires are separated, this is often easier to use than an FTDI cable.
