This TFT display is large (3.5 inches across), vivid, and well-colored! With individual RGB pixel control and 480×320 pixels, this display offers double the resolution of our 2.8′′ TFT and is far more detailed than a 128×64 black-and-white display.
Moreover, you may use the resistive touchscreen sensor on this display to control your application by just touching any part of the screen. Almost no work is done by the microcontroller thanks to the controller that is built into this display and features RAM buffering.
A user who needs high brightness and resolution as well as spectacular, all-angle viewable display quality—a display quality comparable to that of typical mobile screens—should choose this LCD module.
Eight-bit or SPI modes are available for usage with the display. To read and write to the display in 8-bit mode, you’ll need 8 digital data lines and 4 or 5 digital control lines (12 lines total). SPI mode is slower than 8-bit mode, but it only needs 5 pins in total (SPI data in, data out, clock, select, and d/c). Moreover, the touchscreen needs four pins—two digital and two analogue.
This is the bigger 2.4′′ display that was made especially for the Arduino Mega. This 3.5-inch display is made to fit perfectly into the Arduino Mega’s regular connectors without the need for any extra interface hardware.
The backlight is wired to 3.3V and is constantly on; it is not controllable. It is easily controllable with MCUs like the 8051, PIC, AVR, Arduino, and ARM, among others.
