The Waveshare 2-Channel Isolated RS485 Expansion HAT is a dual-channel extension board designed for Raspberry Pi. It utilizes the SC16IS752+SP3485 solution and includes protection features such as power supply isolation, ADI magnetic isolation, and TVS diodes.

The board incorporates the SC16IS752 controller, a high-performance UART expansion chip that supports both SPI and I2C interface communication. This particular module uses an SPI interface for communication.
