This is a 12V solid state relay module with 4 channels. An integrated circuit (IC) that functions similarly to a mechanical relay is known as a solid-state relay (SSR). They enable you to use lower voltage DC control circuits to regulate high-voltage AC loads. To do this, they use infrared light as the “contact.” An IR LED and a photo Triac are all that’s inside a solid-state relay, which is essentially a little box. Compared to mechanical relays, solid-state relays provide a number of advantages.

Similar to a mechanical relay, a solid state relay can be operated by a digital signal. A solid state relay lasts far longer than a regular mechanic relay and produces no noise.

One benefit over most mechanical relays is that they can be switched at considerably lower voltages and currents. Furthermore, solid-state relays can be switched far more quickly and for longer periods of time without wearing out because they don’t have moving contacts.
