60mm Double Aluminium Omni Wheel

With a 3 kg loading capacity, the 60mm Double Aluminium Omni Wheel is the smallest Omni wheel. Six Aluminium Plates are outfitted with them and connected in sets of three.

They have rubber rollers around the entire perimeter of the wheel to reduce friction and prevent slippage when travelling sideways. Two bearings on the rollers of this wheel enable easy and smooth movement in ANY direction.

Compared to traditional wheels, which only allow for forward and backward motion, this Double Aluminium Omni Wheel allows your robot to move in more controllable directions. With effortless 360° rotation and sideways manoeuvrability, the Omni Wheels offer mobility.

Therefore, this is the most advanced technology that is used to convert a non-homonomic robot to a homonomic one. Now, what causes the wheels to move in all directions? They are made of small rollers that are positioned along the circumference of the wheel so that the rollers’ rotational axis is perpendicular to the main wheel’s rotational axis. As a result, the Omni wheels can rotate freely in both directions, just like regular wheels, as well as 360 degrees around themselves thanks to these two rotational axes within a single wheel.
