Description

The USB bus convert chip CH340 may convert USB to serial interface, USB to printer interface, or USB to IrDA infrared interface. When a computer is operating in serial interface mode, the CH340 provides a common MODEM liaison signal that may be used to expand its asynchronous serial interface or upgrade common serial devices to USB buses directly. For further information regarding the USB convert to printer interface, please consult the CH340DS2 second handbook. By adding an infrared transceiver to the CH340 when it is in infrared mode, you can create a USB infrared adaptor and enable SIR infrared communication.
