The HDMI-Compatible Virtual Display Emulator 4K HD DDC EDID Dummy Plug Dongle is a tiny, inexpensive DVI EDID Dummy Plug that allows a computer to function “headless,” or without a keyboard, mouse, and monitor. It does this by simulating a high-resolution display.
The emulator lets you take advantage of all the power and resolutions that are locked away in your graphics hardware, which could otherwise be blocked when there is no screen available. It does this by mimicking the presence of an attached display.

When you connect the HDMI Dummy Plug to your computer’s video output socket, your operating system will identify the connected display and turn on the GPU external adapter.
For ease of identification, it displays in the OS graphics card adapter plug properties panel as a headless ghost display. GPU hardware is frequently turned off until a display is connected, which causes remote users to experience poor performance and a reduced working resolution.

In addition to enjoying native high-resolution remote desktop access for workstations and stability for cryptocurrency mining rigs, the GPU can be used to stream and play games.
