Description

A digital humidity and temperature sensor that is inexpensive, simple to use, and extremely accurate is the HTU21D Temperature and Humidity Sensor Module. This sensor is excellent for weather stations and humidor control systems, as well as for data logging and environmental monitoring. As an added benefit, you can obtain very accurate temperature readings and relative humidity readings with just two lines of I2C communication. This sensor can measure up to 50 milliseconds.

This sensor simply requires four pins to be connected in order to be used in a project. Three data lines: two for I2C communication, one for GND, and one for VCC. For I2C communications, this breakout board contains integrated 4.7k pull-up resistors. You might wish to disable these resistors if you’re connecting more than one I2C device to the same bus.

Note:
Water droplets that are full may harm the sensor. In extreme situations when water droplets might make their way into the sensor, we advise sealing the board in Teflon or irrigation tape.
