Description

This is an Indian-made IIC/I2C Serial Interface Adapter Module.

This I2C Serial LCD Daughter board complies with RoHS regulations and may be linked to a regular 16×2 or 20×4 character display module that supports 4-bit mode. Almost all 16×2 and 20×4 line character modules that are marketed commercially also support 4-bit mode, as do all of the character modules that are sold on our website.

The PCF8574 I2C chip on this board is used to translate I2C serial data into parallel data for the LCD display. Online tutorials for utilising this board with Arduino abound. Look up “Arduino LCD PCF8574” online. Three solder jumpers on the board allow you to adjust the default I2C address, which is 0x3F. This makes it possible to manage up to three LCD panels with a single I2C bus, giving each one a unique address.
