The highly versatile MakerBase MKS TMC2209 v2.0 stepper motor driver is compatible with a variety of MKS motherboards, including the Makerbase Laser Engraving CNC Cutter Machine Mainboard MKS DLC32 and other MKS control boards like MKS Monser 8, MKS Skipr, and MKS Gen_L. It can also be used with the Robin E3D, Robin Nano V3 for Creality Ender 3, Ender 3 v2, and Ender 3 Pro. With a maximum current of 2.5A, a logic voltage of 3.3V/5V, and an input voltage range of 5.5V–28V, the driver’s default current is 1.25A. With a micro stepping capability of up to 1/256, the stepper motor’s movement may be precisely controlled.
The quiet stepper driver, the Makerbase MKS TMC2209 Ender-3, is made with low heat generation and great heat dissipation in mind. Even while operating for extended periods of time, its vast cooling area helps to maintain a low temperature. The heat generated by the MKS TMC2209 can be reduced by up to 30% when compared to comparable stepper motor drivers. In addition, the driver only reached 37C during a 10-hour print with passive cooling. Because of this, it’s a dependable and effective choice for 3D printing applications.
