Description

The Raspberry Pi TV HAT enables you to receive digital terrestrial TV broadcast systems, including DVB-T and DVB-T2, on a Raspberry Pi.

With this board, you can watch TV directly on a Raspberry Pi or set up a TV server to stream received TV over a network to other devices. The TV HAT can be used with all Raspberry Pi boards when running as a backend server for other devices on the network. For optimal performance when receiving and viewing TV directly on a Raspberry Pi, it is recommended to use a Raspberry Pi 2, 3, or 3+.

The TV HAT package includes mechanical spacers, a 40-way header, and an aerial adaptor. It is a DVB-T2 digital TV receiver add-on compatible with the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, Raspberry Pi Zero W, and older Raspberry Pi 2 and 3 models.

Featuring a Sony CXD2880 TV tuner, the TV HAT supports both DVB-T and the second-generation DVB-T2 TV standards.
