Description

The TP5100 Dual One/Two Battery Protection Board is a chip designed to manage the charge of a single cell 4. 2V lithium battery and double switch buck 8.4V. The TP5100 is perfect for large current charging management applications in portable equipment because of its ultra-compact QFN16 package and straightforward external circuit. In the meantime, the TP5100 has integrated protection against input overcurrent, undervoltage, overheating, short circuit, battery temperature monitoring, and reverse battery failure.

With its wide input voltage range of 5V to 15V, dual battery trickling charge into pre-charge, constant current, constant voltage three-phase, pre-charge current trickle charge current through an external resistor adjustment, and a maximum charge current of 2A, the TP5100 guarantees exceptional performance. A smaller external Suo device can be used with the 400kHz switching mode of the TP5100, yet the high current charging still produces less heat.
A second external Schottky diode and no anti-intrusion protection are provided by the TP51OO’s integrated power PMOSFET and anti-intrusion circuit.
