Description

With support for OGG encoding real-time recording, this development board, the VS1053 MP3 recording module, has an inbuilt recording function and can record and playback a wide range of music formats.

VS1053 can play a wide range of music formats and enables real-time OGG encoding recording in addition to that. Control signal lines and the SPI interface are removed. The module features a built-in TF SD card slot for storing record data and playing it back at your convenience. Alternatively, you may use the SD card to transfer the recorded MP3 file to any device.

The module features an onboard microphone for recording purposes as well as two distinct 3.5 mm connectors for audio out and microphone in. With an integrated power indicator light and a crystal oscillator operating at 12.288 MHz, this MP3 shield makes it simple to check the module’s on/off status. 800mA of current is also provided via the onboard AMS-1117 3.3V and 2.5V LDO chip. The circuit is continuously stabilised using a voltage provided by the one onboard +5VDC power supply.
