Description

A 180 kHz fixed frequency PWM buck (step-down) DC/DC converter, the XL4016 can drive a 12A load with exceptional line and load regulation, low ripple, and high efficiency. The regulator is easy to operate, with a fixed frequency oscillator and internal frequency adjustment, and requires the fewest external components possible.

The duty ratio can be linearly adjusted by the PWM control circuit between 0% and 100%. There is an integrated overcurrent protection feature. The operation frequency will drop from 180 KHz to 48 KHz when the short protection mechanism activates. In order to reduce the number of external components, an internal compensating block is included.
