Description

IC with 8 pins An 8 pin IC holder called a socket base adaptor can be soldered straight onto the PCB. When necessary, the IC can be taken out of this socket. When using, the IC is inserted into the socket. The IC holder is detachable from this base.

When an integrated circuit (IC) is temperature-sensitive and could be harmed by soldering iron heat, a socket is employed. When using a microcontroller IC, this socket is utilised; it can be taken out for programming.
