Description

A type of thermostat that uses a bimetal disc as the temperature detecting element is the BK05 250V 5A 80°C Plastic Thermostatic Temperature Switch NC.

When the electrical device functions normally, the bimetal disc is in the free state and the contacts are closed.

The bimetal disc deforms to leap when heated, and when the outside temperature reaches the predetermined working temperature, the contacts open, and the circuit is shut off to regulate the temperature. When the electrical appliance has cooled to the reset temperature, the contacts will then automatically close to cut off the circuit.

Extensively utilised in electrical equipment and home appliances, including transformers, thermal appliances, air conditioner motors, etc.
