Description

Avoiding Obstacles Using Infrared One set of infrared transmitting and receiving tubes is included in the IR Sensor Module (Active Low). The receiver tube will receive the reflected infrared radiation when the transmitted light waves are reflected back. The green indicator LED illuminates when the processing is completed by the onboard comparator circuitry.

The module has a three-wire interface, with pins for Vcc, GND, and output on the tail. Between 3.3 and 5V, it functions flawlessly. The output pin generates a digital signal (a low-level signal) in response to obstruction or reflection. The operational range is adjusted with the help of the onboard preset; the effective distance range is 2 to 80 cm.
