For do-it-yourself robotic car projects, the TCRT5000 Reflective IR sensor photoelectric switch is ideal for line tracking. The reflecting sensor TCRT5000 suppresses visible light by encasing a phototransistor and infrared emitter in a lead package.

These are the replacement infrared LEDs for our line sensor modules, which come with both the emitter and the receiver.
