Description

The L298 is a 15-lead Multiwatt and PowerSO20 package that contains an integrated monolithic circuit. It is a twin full-bridge driver with high voltage and high current that can drive inductive loads including relays, solenoids, DC, and stepping motors while accepting conventional TTL logic levels. To turn the device on or off without regard to input signals, there are two enable inputs available. Each bridge’s lower transistors’ emitters are linked together, and an external sensing resistor can be connected to the matching external terminal. There is an extra supply input available to enable lower voltage logic operation.
