Description

For a straightforward and affordable way to incorporate a 16×2 White on RGB Liquid Crystal Display into your project, try the LCD1602 Parallel LCD Display. The display is 16 characters by 2 lines with a blue backdrop/backlight and extremely readable, high contrast white lettering.

The amazing blue backlight LCD display is this one. For projects based on Arduino, it is excellent. It is quite simple to interface this LCD1602 Parallel LCD Display with Yellow Backlight with an Arduino or other microcontroller.

Simple text or numerical values read by the sensors, such as temperature or pressure, or even the number of cycles the Arduino is executing, can be displayed on the display.

It should be noted that in order for the display to function, you will need to waste roughly 8 pins on your Arduino. Fortunately, there is an I2C converter that can be soldered directly onto the display pins. Therefore, just the I2C pins—which display a decent library and minimal coding—need to be connected.
