Description

An 8-bit bus transceiver with non-inverting 3-state outputs is called the 74HC245PW,118. For direction control, the device has send/receive (DIR) and output enable (OE). The outputs enter a high-impedance OFF state when OE is HIGH. One type of input is clamp diodes. This makes it possible to link inputs to voltages higher than VCC by using current-limiting resistors.
