APDS9960 RGB Gesture Sensor Detection I2C Breakout Module for Arduino

This little breakout board, called the APDS9960 RGB Gesture Sensor Detection I2C Breakout Module for Arduino, has an integrated APDS-9960 sensor that allows for touchless gesture sensing, proximity detection, and ambient light and colour measurement. With just a hand swipe, you will be able to operate a computer, microcontroller, robot, and more with this RGB and Gesture Sensor. It’s worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy S5 also makes use of this particular sensor, which is among the best available at its cost.

With four independent diodes that are sensitive to different orientations, an I2C compliant interface, and built-in UV and IR blocking filters, the APDS9960 is a very capable little piece of gear. The pins VL (optional power to IR LED), GND (ground), VCC (power to APDS-9960 sensor), SDA (I2C data), SCL (I2C clock), and INT (interrupt) have been separated out for your convenience. The detection range of each APDS-9960 is also 4 to 8 inches (10 to 20 cm).
